My name is Isciane Minnig, I am 23 years old and I live in Gruyère in 
Switzerland.
I painted my very first oil canvas in the spring of 2020 and I learned 
this technique for the first time in the fall of 2019 with Till Rabus, one 
of my teachers at the Académie de Meuron. I have a lot of gratitude 
towards him. I would say that it was he who gave me this mad desire 
to paint in oil. It was like a "click" for me and since then I have not let 
go of my brushes. I use several techniques to express my art such as: linocut, Indian ink, ecoline, collage, acrylic, etc…but I must admit that for the moment it  is with painting in oil that I can best express myself.  In reality, I have been drawing since I was little, as soon as the urge 
arises. From an early age, I was attracted by everything related to the art
world, colors, shapes, materials and especially nature. 
Plant beauty has always inspired me a lot, which is why we often find 
it in my works.  After my compulsory school, I decided to complete a training as a florist and then I had the chance to take full-time courses for a year at  the “Académie de Meuron” in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
Without this experience, I would not have dared to leave the frame of 
the A4 page.
Painting has somehow become my language to best express the
things for which I cannot find words.
