Ida Sokoljak is a Bosnian painter, born on January 16, 1989, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She holds a Master's degree in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo and is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ida has exhibited her works in solo and group exhibitions across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Austria and Germany. She is also an active participant in international art workshops, watercolor colonies, and various international collaborations and competitions.
Among her most notable exhibitions are her solo shows at the Bosnian Cultural Center in Sarajevo and the Center for Culture and Youth Gallery, which was part of the 40th International Sarajevo Winter Festival, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Sarajevo Olympics.
A significant milestone in her career was her solo exhibition at the Sonnentage event in Schönau, Germany. She also won the first prize for designing the cover of the book Iz tame svijeta by the writer Dževad Karahasan. Additionally, she participated in the ArtZept competition in Milan, Italy.
Ida is known for her expressive portraits and figures, as well as landscapes inspired by nature and her travels. Her artwork often incorporates expressive textures and vibrant colors, reflecting her deep connection to the natural world. She primarily works with acrylic and oil paints, using an expressive style to bring her subjects to life. In addition to painting, she is also involved in design.
