"Art is the vessel by which I sail my soul through the world." In my work I try to convey the essence of a person, place or thing. I have always thought that the power of a painting is in the emotional reaction it induces in the viewer. Everyone experiences a painting differently and if I can make the viewer experience some kind of emotion when they see my work, then I consider it a success.
