Art has always been a huge part of my life. From the moment I was able to hold a pen, I started to draw and make art. And that never quite changed. I learned to be a graphic designer and studied communication design. I got to experiment and explore different mediums, such as mixed media, photography and digital art. I traveled a lot, so the beauty and diversity presented to me profoundly impacted my artistic style.
My works now, are purely intuitive expressions, as I let go of my mind and just trust the flow of the process. I mix elements of realism with abstraction and combine analogue drawing with digital painting. I strive for vivid color combinations and bold strokes to incorporate a specific mood or energy.
I, like many others, have faced times feeling voiceless. Like lacking the ability to properly articulate what they mean and I think that’s the main reason why art is so important - not just to me but to the world. It’s a way to communicate. That doesn‘t mean every single piece of art has to have a deep meaning - all I‘m saying is that it could. It could be political, religious, about overcoming hurdles, starting new endeavors, grief, happiness or simply a doodle just for fun. A piece of art can represent the world to me and mean something completely different to you. It‘s an open dialogue.
